Environmental and Energy Policy

RealTruck Denmark (hereinafter referred to as "RTD") is responsible for running a leading global automotive production company in the most environmentally & energy-friendly way.

With this policy RTD's goals prevent pollution and improve our resource utilization, as well as ensure a continuous focus on making our products more sustainable.

The Environment and Energy Policy (Hereinafter referred to as "the policy" describes the general guidelines for how the work and improvements around the environment and energy must be implemented at RTD. In addition, the policy must create and anchor shared values and goals for the environment and energy.

In RTD, together we want to actively contribute to meeting the goals in the policy, so that managers and employees have a fixed framework with known roles and procedures in connection with continuously coming up with improvement proposals for how RTDcan become a greener company, as well as complying with every current regulations within environment and energy.

The overall objective of the environmental and energy policy is to achieve a balance between economic growth, environmental protection and energy efficiency. This is done by setting clear goals within specific subjects.

With this policy, it is RTD's aim:

  • that the policy is integrated into all relevant strategies, procedures and daily operations
  • that all employees are aware of the content of the policy
  • that we will continuously keep informed about the impact on the environment
  • that, through our production, we do not damage biodiversity and animal welfare by continuously investigating options for chemical substitution, waste sorting, etc.
  • that we will set concrete goals, measure progress and constantly improve
  • that we will openly and honestly report on our performance
  • that we will comply with all legal requirements in the environmental field
  • that we want our value chain to live up to this policy, for example by choosing certified suppliers where possible.

RTD will collect and analyze data within the following areas:

  • energy optimization (energy reduction and transition to renewable energy)
  • water consumption
  • transportation
  • chemicals
  • product development (consider more sustainable materials, less material consumption, etc.)
  • climate impact
  • waste management
  • pollution (noise, emissions)
